Set on the banks of the River Tilt, Marble Lodge is five miles up a track, which is easily accessible by car if driven with care. Originally a shepherd’s cottage, Marble Lodge is a charming and comfortable lodge sleeping up to four guests in two bedrooms, in addition, there is a large sitting room with an open fire.
Surrounded by the wildlife and wilderness of Glen Tilt, Marble Lodge is well situated for long walks along the pony tracks and several Munros (hills over 3000ft) are within a day’s hike. Angling enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the salmon fishing available seasonally on the River Tilt, and for non-anglers, the sight of these fish as they make their way upstream to spawn is a spectacle.
The lodge is serviced with a phone and wifi but there is no TV signal, although a TV with a DVD player is available.
