Summer Events at Blair Castle

With the excitement of things opening up again and lockdown rules relaxing, we look forward to welcoming more visitors back to the Castle this season. Staycations are proving ever more popular this year with people keen to appreciate what is on their doorstep. Part of our desire as an estate is to evolve and encourage people to visit, this summer we have a whole host of activities to entertain the whole family.

The castle team are back in action and raring to go. It has been great being open for the past month and greeting our visitors once again, we are looking forward to a fun action-packed summer.

We are excited to launch our summer events calendar this year, with different activities to suit all audiences. With the Covid situation still fluid we wanted to make sure what events we held were outside and Covid safe. We have introduced outdoor Theatre by the Three Inch Fools, a fun way to watch their take on Shakespeare and other plays. Our family days have already been a great success and we are excited to build on these over the coming months. Our new Drive-in cinema events will be really special, with some classic films on show and the beautiful Castle as the backdrop it’s definitely one not to be missed.

Summer Events 2021:

Weekend Activities | June, July, August

Included in our Castle and Gardens and Gardens only tickets, we have a range of activities for the whole family. There will be a piper on the forecourt, on the hour every hour from 11am until 3pm. Deer feeding at 12.30pm and 2.30pm, after the last feeding, join our Estate Ranger, Julia Duncan on a nature walk around the gardens and grounds.

Ranger Events | Various Dates During Summer

Join our Estate Ranger on various dates throughout the summer months for fun-packed outdoor activities for children. Engage with nature and learn about the wildlife which can be found on the estate.

Family Fun Days | 4th of July and 8th of August

Join us on our Family Fun Days for a whole host of activities including a falconry display, deer feeding, a guided nature trail and a bouncy castle! A beautiful setting to enjoy time with the family and learn more about Scotland’s natural wildlife.

Summer Craft Fair | 26th and 27th of June

The exhibitors are all based in Scotland and reflect the high standard of Scottish craftsmanship and the diversity that is produced within this country. There will be a superb range of cheese, gin, game, beer, seafood, preserves, and a wonderfully unique collection of jewellery, art, ceramics, tweed accessories, textiles, candles & woodwork, all lovingly handmade in Scotland. Street Food from Alba Seafood and Seasonal flavourings will tempt all pallets and tasters from a range of distilleries together with a brewery will add to the experience.

Drive-In Cinema | 9th, 10th and 11th of July
